Rejection of Synchronous Vibrations of AMB System Using Nonlinear Adaptive Control Algorithm with a Novel Frequency Estimator

This paper focuses on the synchronous vibration suppression of an active magnetic bearing (AMB) system without a rotating speed sensor. One most intractable problems with AMB systems is caused by mass imbalance rotor. Moreover, practically all existing unbalance control algorithms require sensor to determine rotation speed. However, in some unique applications, it impossible install and use as intended. study provided nonlinear adaptive (NAC) algorithm modified frequency estimator address above issues. The proposed approach can suppress current displacement vibrations regulating structure. calculates based position rotor at different moments, which has quick response time, high precision, effective tracking. NAC achieve unbalanced period iteration strategy. Additionally, Lyapunov method used demonstrate stability algorithm. Finally, experimental simulation results also confirm effectiveness reliability overall scheme. from simulations experiments indicate that novel track accurately its error be regulated within ±0.05 Hz. schema reduce vibration’s amplitude 72.2% 65.6%.
